Site preparation

The structure supporting the fire rolling shutter must be a fire resisting separating element to BS476 Part 20,21,22: 1987, having a fire resistance greater or equal to that of the fire shutter itself.  It must be capable of supporting the shutter for the required fire resistance period and without compromising the performance of the shutter. In addition, consideration must be given to the loads imposed by the various components ie endplates and barrel support brackets.
