BOROUGH MARKET, London SE1
Just some of the 73 Rolling shutters supplied and fitted by LBS Group at Borough Market off Southwark Street, London SE1.
The present market, located at the southern end of London Bridge, is a successor to one that was first mentioned in 1276, although the market itself claims to have existed since 1014.
In the 20th century, it was essentially a wholesale market, selling produce in quantity to greengrocers and now mainly sells specialty foods to the general public.
In June 2017 three attackers from the London Bridge attack ran to the area, where they stabbed people with knives before they were shot dead by armed police. LBS quickly carried out repairs
to damaged shutters to ensure that the market could continue and be secure.
