LBS MAINTENANCE – REDUCING COSTS and a LEGAL REQUIREMENT

LBS believe that proactive maintenance can reduce operational downtime, reduce the need for call-outs, extend life expectancy, substantially reducing costs and meet current legal requirements.

It is a legal obligation that all Industrial, Fire & Security shutters must be regularly inspected and serviced to ensure that they are safe and work correctly.

It is also now a requirement of ISO 1400 that such doors and shutters have a ‘Health & Safety Inspection – Service’ and that suitable records are kept

It is important to note that all Industrial, Fire & Security shutter must be regularly serviced and repaired to ensure that they continue to meet the requirements of:-

  • Regulation 5 of the Workplace (Health, Safety & Welfare) Regulations 1992
  • Regulation 6 of the Provision & Use of Works Equipment Regulations 1998
  • Regulation 6 of the Fire Precautions (Workplace) Regulations 1997

In short, every shutter must be inspected and serviced at regular intervals and LBS provide a complete service

Being LPCB Certified Manufacturer’s for Fire shutter products we provide a certificate to confirm the product has passed our inspection.

If for whatever reason further work is required, we will discuss with yourselves and where possible action while on site, failing this we will submit our recommendations within 48 hours of carrying out the service (at no extra cost)
